In 2025, ÂÜÀòÉÙÅ® continued to advance its vision of a world with optimal oral health through advocacy, education, innovation and global collaboration. This annual report highlights the initiatives, achievements and milestones that defined the year.

2025 was a landmark year for ÂÜÀòÉÙÅ® World Dental Federation as we expanded our efforts to advance oral health globally through knowledge exchange, capacity building, advocacy and innovation.
The year saw two highly successful Regional Congresses in Riyadh and San José, alongside one of the largest ÂÜÀòÉÙÅ® World Dental Congresses in recent years, in Shanghai, bringing together more than 30,000 participants from around the world. Through countless continuing education opportunities, ÂÜÀòÉÙÅ® continued to support dental professionals at every stage of their careers.
World Oral Health Day reached new heights, sparking a global conversation on the connection between oral health and mental well-being and generating unprecedented engagement worldwide.
A major milestone in oral health integration was the launch of ÂÜÀòÉÙŮ’s Consensus Statement on Integrated Electronic Health Records in Dentistry, advocating for the inclusion of oral health indicators within electronic health records and strengthening the link between oral and general health.
ÂÜÀòÉÙÅ® also achieved significant advocacy successes. Following sustained engagement with governments and global health partners, oral health was included in the United Nations Political Declaration on Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health for the first time. An important step towards embedding oral health within broader health policies and systems worldwide.
Internally, ÂÜÀòÉÙÅ® strengthened its governance by establishing two Special Committees tasked with reviewing the membership dues formula and exploring hybrid participation in the World Dental Parliament. Their work will help ensure the organization's long-term sustainability, inclusivity and responsiveness to members' needs.
